Our U16 Belgian Lions remain faultless at the U16 European Championship (Div. B) as they defeated Great-Britain with the very convincing 70-105 final score.

Our youngsters were on fire from the start and controlled the game throughout, giving coach Yvan De Vreught plenty of opportunity to rotate with his entire roster. Four players ended up in double-figures with Thijs De Ridder’s 23 pts & 15 rebs leading the way. Samuel Swolfs again showed his strong outside shooting as he drained 6/8 from behind the arc to finish with 20 pts. Douglas Ntesa dropped his best game of the tournament so far as he added 17 pts & 6 rebs. Joppe Mennes rounded up our scorers with his 13 pts. Sean Pouedet was less efficient with his scoring today but did an excellent job of creating for his teammates and finished with 7 pts, 6 rebs, 11 asts & 4 stls.

Already certain of the 1st spot in group D our young Lions will face the winless Austrian team tomorrow to finish out the group-phase.
