The Belgian Cats will play against Australia, China and Puerto Rico at the Tokyo Olympics.

The Official Draws of the Tokyo Olympic Basketball Tournaments for Men and Women took place at the House of Basketball on Tuesday morning. The XXXII Olympic Games women’s basketball competition will feature national teams from 12 countries. Teams will competing from 24 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.

Belgium was drawn into Group C , along with Australia, China and Puerto Rico.

Philippe Mestadgh will have a though task selecting only 12 players to play the Tokyo Olympics. The Cats need to finish first or second of the Group C in order to qualify for the final phase. But before the Olympic Games, the Cats will play the FIBA Eurobasket Women in June (17 to 27).
