Romain Boxus is another youngster who has just finished his college career and will now be looking to start his professional career. Boxus left Belgium back in 2012 when he moved from the AWBB academy to join Antibes in the French U21 league. After 2 seasons at Antibes Boxus then signed with Gravelines where he would remain another 2 seasons before heading out on his American adventure. In the summer of 2016 he signed with Snow College competing in the NJCAA where he put down solid numbers in his second year with 11.5 ppg & 5.0 rpg. His solid season at Snow College opened up new avenues for the Belgian shooter and in 2018 he transferred to Hartford in the NCAA to finish out his college career.

In his second and final year at Hartford Boxus averaged 3.2 ppg & 2.3 rpg in 15.8 mpg, shooting 38% from behind the arc. He had his best game of the season in a victory at Marist (Nov. 12) when he recorded his only Double-Double of the season with 10 pts & 10 rebs in 28 mins of action. He had his best scoring output with a season-high 14 pts in a win against Albany (NY) (Feb. 12). Before the season got cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak Boxus and his Hartford Hawks had managed to qualify for the America East Conference finals in which they would’ve faced Vermont.
