After 7 months, 22 Regular Season games and a minimum of 4 Playoff games the TDM1 Finals are finally set to tip off on Friday April 26th in which the neighboring clubs LDP Donza and Falco Gent will face eachother.

For LDP Donza it’s the second consecutive season that they reach the finals. Unable to get past the Kortrijk Spurs last year, LDP Donza is now looking for revenge and get their first ever TDM1 title since they promoted to TDM1 back in 2019 as the clubs Latem-De Pinte and Deinze-Nazareth fused together. With a very experienced roster (including 2 players with several years of D1 experience with Senne Geukens (12.7 ppg) and Sander Van Caeneghem (12.0 ppg)) and the home-court advantage, LDP Donza does seem to hold all the cards in their Finals clash against TDM1 newcomers Falco Gent.

Falco Gent on the other hand have been able to put down an impressive first season in TDM1 with a roster comprised of a few experience players (Aaron Van Vooren (14.4 ppg), Maxime Verspeeten (9.9 ppg) and Kristof Ongenaet (3.4 ppg)) and a bunch of talented youngsters such as Ozzy Massey (9.9 ppg), Jasper Unal (13.4 ppg) and Viktor Buysse (10.2 ppg) who all have a double-affiliation with Okapi Aalst in the BNXT.

Both teams have met twice this season and have split their match-ups with the home-team each time taking the win: 90-87 win for LDP Donza on Sep. 23 and a 85-75 win for Falco on Nov. 24.

It certainly looks like it’ll be an exciting series !
