Oostende finishes first in Euromillions Basketball League, playoffs start this Wednesday.

The program of the playoffs in the Euromillions Basket League is now known. The quarter-finals will bring together Oostende-Charleroi, Mons-Mechelen, Antwerp-Leuven and Aalst-Limburg. The classic phase of the Belgian basketball championship bowed out this Sunday afternoon at the end of a last day which delivered its last lessons. The matchups of the quarter-finals are now known. Oostende, who finished first in the classic phase, against Spirou Charleroi, who finished 8th. For its part, Mons, who finished 2nd, will face Mechelen (7th). The last two quarter-finals will see Antwerp (3rd) and Leuven (6th) face off as well as Aalst (4th) and Limburg United (5th).

The quarter-finals will be played for the best of three sets (the first to win two games is qualified for the next round) and will begin this Wednesday, May 19. The second round is scheduled for Friday May 21 and the eventual beautiful will be held on Sunday May 23.

The semi-finals will be held from May 26 to 31 at the latest, the best of three sets. The first semi-final will pit the winner of the duel between Ostend and Charleroi against the winner of the series between Aalst and Limburg United. The other semi-final will see the winner of the duel between Mons and Mechelen face the winner of the series between Antwerp and Leuven. The final will take place in the best of five matches (the first team to win 3 matches will be crowned Belgian champion). The matches are scheduled for June 3, 5 and 7. The additional rounds are scheduled for June 9 and 11.
