The Lakers (2-2) failed to win a third game in a row against Portland (107-115). For Portland, Damian Lillard scored 31 points, Gary Trent Jr 28. For the Lakers, LeBron James recorded another big performance with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists but it was enough to contain the TrailBlazers.

The Memphis Grizzlies recorded their first win of the season with an overtime victory over the Brooklyn Nets 111-116 in a overtime victory. It is the second straight loss for the Nets. Brooklyn played without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

Ja Morant injured himself while attempting a block against French forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot. He suffered a sprain ankle according to the Grizzlies. For Memphis, Kyle Anderson ended the game with 28 points, Dillon Brooks scored 24 points. Without Durant and Irving, Caris LeVert recorded 28 points and 11 assists. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarot scored 21 points.

Atlanta won his third straight game 128-120 against the Detroit Piston. Trae Young recorded 29 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds. He was well supported by Bogdan Bogdanovic who scored 17 points. Without Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose, Jerami Grant scored 27 points for the Pistons.

Denver defeated Houston 124 to 111. Nikola Jokic had a monster triple-double: 19 points 18 assists and 12 rebounds ! Point guard, Jamal Murray scored 21 points. For Houston, no surprise as James Harden had 34 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds.
