Michael Gilmore played his first minutes last month with the Belgian Lions. And it seems that Dario Gjergja liked what he saw because he decided to sign him. Before joining the Lions, Gilmore already spent some time with Oostende as he trained with them before the EuroBasket Bubble.

Oostende had some troubles inside with injuries (Gillet, Buysschaert) and Covid cases.

Gilmore was a free agent. He played last season for Phoenix Hagen in German ProA. In 25 games he averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds last season
