Mechelen beats Brussels in the Belgian Cup (99-79). They will play against Limburg United in the next round.

Mechelen has qualified for the quarter finals of the Belgian Cup on Wednesday. In the return leg of its play-in, they easily defeated Brussels 99-79. Mechelen had narrowly lost the first leg in Brussels 89-87.

Mechelen was in front all game long. They were up by 11 after one quarter (23-12). The gape was 25 at halftime (49-24) ! at half time.

After 10-0 run to start the third quarter, Mechelen was almost up by forty points (66-27). But Brussels fought back and they won this third quarter 19-24, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

For Mechelen, Marvin Clark recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds, Jonas Foerts scored 15 points and Bram Bogaerts added 14 points in 11 minnutes !

For Brussels, BJ Raymond recorded 15 points and 6 reboundds) whie Louis Hazard had 13 pints, 9 rebounds.
