With 35 regular season games behind them it eventually all came down to game 36 as 4 teams were in first place in the BNXT League standings. Out of the 4 teams it was Kangoeroes Mechelen who held the best cards. All they had to do was win their game against the last team in the league: QSTA United and then wait to see what the other 3 teams did.

The Kangoeroes did their part as they won the game against QSTA with the 95-80 final score. After 15 minutes of wait it was official: the Kangoeroes finished first in the regular season and got the BNXT League Championship title for their first trophy since promoting to the highest level in Belgium.

Now all eyes are on the Belgian Playoffs where the Kangoeroes will face Mons-Hainaut in the Quarter-Finals.
