Belgium qualify for the Eurobasket 2022 !

Thanks to the win against Denmark (88-65), Belgium will play his 5th straight Eurobasket in 2022 !

In the first half, Adama Darboe was the leader for Denmark with 16 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop Retin Obasohan (10 points) and Ismael Bako (8 points). Belgium had a 6 points lead at halftime (40-34).

After the break, Belgium increased its lead, firstly thanks to Obasohan and then thanks to the bench and a three pointer from Khalid Boukichou on the buzzer of the third quarter (66-49).

In the last quarter Belgium continued to increase its lead and punch his ticket for the Eurbasket 2022 (88-65) !

For Belgium the leader was once again Retin Obasohan with points 19 points (3/3 from 3pts), 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Manu Lecomte recorded 12 points and 5 assists from the bench while Ismael Bako added 10 points and 4 rebounds and most importantly a +/- of 24 !

Belgium will play his last game of the qualifiers against Czech Republic Monday at 15H30.

The Eurobasket 2022 will be held in 4 countries. Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, and Italy. The knock-out phase will be played in Germany.
