The Belgian 3×3 team consisting of Thierry Marien, Nick Celis, Thibaut Vervoort and Toon Ceyssens competed at the 3×3 Supercup this weekend in Austria to prepare for the Olympic Qualifiers later this year.

On the opening day (Friday) they faced Germany, France and Austria, coming away with 2 wins and one loss, enough to qualify for the Semi-Finals which was played on Saturday.

Belgium – Germany: 19-14

France – Belgium: 9-21

Austria – Belgium: 21-10

In the Semi-Finals on Saturday they battled it out with The Netherlands but unfortunately came up short as they lost it 21-12. While The Netherlands moved on to the finals in which they faced Russia, our Belgian team again came up against Austria in the game for third place and again had to admit defeat as they went down 15-21 after a close game.

In the finals it was eventually Russia that won the tournament as they defeated The Netherlands with 21-15.
