Sixteen players have been selected by coach Dario Gjergja. Three games are planned during these two weeks. The Belgian Lions will face Finland on July 7, Japan on July 9 and Hungary on 11.

It is for the Belgian Lions both a first and a great honor to be invited by Japan, host country of the Olympic Games. It is a recognition of our results and our first place in the group acquired in February. It is also a golden opportunity to develop a state of mind in order to prepare for the qualification for the World Cup which begins next November “, explains Jacques Stas, manager of the Lions.

The young talent Nathan Missio-Dia (16 year-old, Limoges / France) makes his first appearance in the selection. Missia Dio played this season with Limoges in the French U21 championship. While being one of the youngest player of the championship, he averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
